Þúfnavellir, a farm, behind it Barkárdalur valley, over 7 km2. The river Barká comes from under it which is what gives the Hörgá river its glacial colour. In front of the glacier are the undulating Húðarhólar (475 m). Barkárjökull, a glacier at the end of the valley.
