Bjarg, (“Crag”) a farm in Miðfjörður, taking its name from a glacier–eroded rock north of the homefield. Fine panoramas from there. Grettir the strong was brought up at Bjarg, and there is a hummock in the homefield called Grettisþúfa, where his head is said to be buried. Memorial to Grettir’s mother, Ásdís.
