Botnsdalur, a valley at the head of Dýrafjörður, named for the farm Botn, abandoned in 1925 after damage by an avalanche. It is said there once were seven big farms in this valley. A prominent hill, Dýrahaugur, where some say the settler Dýri is buried. Many trees and a local plantation.
