Brattabrekka, (“Steep slope”) the road from Highway 1 in the Norðurárdalur valley west to the Dalir district, max. height 402 m. The actual Brattabrekka is the slope down into the Dalir district, where the former post–route lay. The road goes up Bjarnardalur through Miðdalur and down to Suðurárdalur.
