Brautarholt, an outlying farm from the Selárdalur parsonage, home of artist Samúel Jónsson (1884–1969). When an altar–piece he wanted to give to Selárdalur church on its centenary was rejected, he built his own church for it. Some of Samúel’s statues stand nearby. The altar–piece is now preserved in Listasafn Alþýðu (The Labour Unions’ Art Gallery) in Reykjavík.
