Breiðavík

Breiðavík, the pretty little district between the Búðahraun lava field and the village Arnarstapi, along a bay of the same name. Grassy and sheltered. A long, yellow sand reef, Hraunlandarif, creates the Miðhúsavatn lagoon. Above is the rocky mountain Knarrarklettar where many a traveller has fallen to his death after losing his way on the Fróðárheiði moor.
