Háfshverfi, a group of farms, and a church until 1914 when it was moved to Hábær in Þykkvibær. The land there is so flat that the two lakes, Hrútsvatn and Frakkavatn, are only 5 m above sea level. It is easiest to get to Háfshverfi via Þykkvibær. Háfur was the settling place of Þorkell bjálfi.
