Garðskagi

Garðskagi, the outermost point of the Miðnes peninsula, the north-pointing “toe” of the Reykjanes peninsula. Quite densely populated. Old and new lighthouses, birdwatching station. In the old lighthouse, built in 1897, there is a map of the Garðskagi reef showing where ships have stranded, and other information about the coast. Whales can be seen swimming in the sea at Garðskagi.
