Haukagil,a farm taking its name from the Haukagil gorge, which in turn is said to have got its name from two berserkers who were beaten to death and their bodies thrown into it. The poet Hallfreður vandræðaskáld was brought up at Haukagil. A lovely copse of coniferous trees.
