Hofsdalur, a valley off southern Álftafjörður, with a side–valley Flugustaðadalur, mostly uninhabited. Through it runs the glacial river Hofsá, which comes from Hofsjökull and other smaller glaciers. Birch bushes, especially in Tunga between the valleys.
