Hörgsland

Hörgsland, a farm. Often a parsonage. One clergyman, Magnús Pétursson, who lived there in the 17th century, was a poet and said to be skilled in black magic, one of his feats being to divert a fleet of Turkish pirate ships away from the shores of the country. He was also skilled at slaying ghosts. A hospital in the 17th and 18th century.
