Hreppar, the northernmost districts of Árnessýsla, between Hvítá and Þjórsá, Ytrihreppur or Hrunamannahreppur to the west and Eystrihreppur or Gnúpverjahreppur to the east. Uneven land with many ridges and mountains but green and grassy, good farming country.
