Hvammsfjall

Hvammsfjall, the northernmost of a fine row of peaks reminiscent of enormous house gables. Most of the peaks and the passes between them take their names from farms: Hofsskarð, Þríklakkar, Þrastarhólmshnjúkur, Hallgilsstaðahnjúkur, Staðarskarð above Möðruvellir, ending in Fálkahaus or Fornhagaöxl (703 m), an imposing rocky saddle.
