Norðurfjörður, a trading–place on a fjord of the same name, going north from Trékyllisvík bay. Kálfatindur (646 m) a mountain at the head of the fjord provides a good viewpoint. A lodge owned by the Icelandic Touring Association, Valgeirsstaðir is located in the bottom of Nordfjordur, just above a sandy beach. A convenience store is in 10 minutes walking distance from the house and a swimming pool is located in Krossnes, also close by.
