Kolbeinsdalur, a valley parallel to Hjaltadalur, now abandoned. Route from there via Heljardalsheiði moor to Svarfaðardalur. At the head of the valley is the glacier Tungnahryggsjökull, through which flows the Kolka river, later joined by Hjaltadalsá.
