Kolbeinsstaðir, an old manor farm, and the home of many influential men. Church, community centre. The highest peak on the mountain Kolbeinsstaðafjall above the farm is called Tröllakirkja (“Giants’ church”) (862 m). Another peak is Hrútaborg, with steep crags. A challenging mountain for climbers.
