Korpúlfsstaðir, a farm built after 1922 by Thor Jensen (1863–1947). He took over a cottage farm and made it one of the largest and richest farms in the country.
The large farm building which, among other things, housed 300 cows, still stands. The Thors family are descended from him; among them Ólafur Thors (1892–1964) a prominent politician and former prime minister, and the author Thor Vilhjálmsson (1925–2011).
There is a golf course there now.
