Kvígindisfjörður

Kvígindisfjörður, a fjord, ca. 15 km long and very narrow. The mountain Svínafellsfjall to the west is very steep, with rocks and scree, but some trees. It is said that the settler Geirmundur heljarskinn kept his pigs on Svínanes, hence the name.
