Laugafell (892 m) and Laugafellshnjúkur, (997 m) two mountains which are prominent landmarks, rising as they do from rather flat country. To the northwest of Laugafell there are some geothermal springs 40–50°C, a bathing pool and a good tourist hut built 1948. The story goes that people lived there at one time, and there are some signs of ruins. A pool with changing rooms.
