Ljósufjöll, rhyolite mountains south of Álftafjörður, maximum height 1,063 m, the highest on the Snæfellsnes peninsula, apart from the glacier. Usually big snowdrifts even in summer. To the east is Hestur (864 m), saddle–shaped and sheer at both ends.
