Mögugilshellir

Þórólfsfell, (574 m) a tuff mountain, named after the settler Þórólfur Askssonur, he was the great grandfather of Njáll in Njáls saga. In Njáls saga it says that Njáll had a farm in Þórólfsfell, yet no remains are now to be seen. On the southwest side is an interesting cave, Mögugilshellir, now spoiled by the river.
