Mýrar

Mýrar, a farm and church near the mountain Mýrafell (312 m). An historical place. Birthplace of Þórdís, mother of President Jón Sigurðsson (see Hrafnseyri). Now one of the biggest eider duck breeding grounds in Iceland.
