Seljavellir, there a swimming pool was built in the mountain side in 1923 by the Youth movement, making use of natural hot water on the spot. One of the shortest climbing routes to the glacier Eyjafjallajökull starts in the vicinity. This route is quite steep and some crevasses may be expected en route.
