Sleðbrjótur, (“Sleigh breaker”) a church and community centre, an ancient manor farm. Said to be named for an incident when some slaves broke their sled on their way from Vopnafjörður. They then met some slaves from the next farm and tried to buy their sled, but were refused. A fight broke out in which all the slaves were killed.
