Stafn, at a height of 280 m this is one of furthest inland farms in the Svartárdalur valley. Nearby is Stafnsrétt, one of the biggest sheep–gathering pens in Iceland, always busy in autumn. A jeep–track leads from there over Kiðaskarð pass to Skagafjörður, and another via Eyvindarstaðaheiði moor south to the river Strangakvísl.
