Stóri-Kambur

Stóri–Kambur, a farm in Breiðavík, often mentioned in Eyrbyggja saga, the home of Björn Breiðvíkingakappi, “who was friendlier with the mistress of the house at Fróðá than with her brother, the chieftain at Helgafell”, the latter being Snorri goði, who eventually drove Björn away from Iceland. He is thought to have gone west to Vínland (North America) where Icelandic travellers said they had met him.
