Vindheimaöxl, an impressive rocky ridge above the farm Vindheimar (“Home of the wind”). A small glacier, Vindheimajökull, south of there, its highest points Strýta (1,451 m) and Kista (1,447 m). The rivers Húsá and Fossá flow from the glacier, the two separate valleys derive their names from the rivers. Good mountaineering country.
