Þorvaldseyri, a substantial farm, the leader in grain cultivation ever since this was reintroduced in Iceland, which includes a special Icelandic grain. Þorvaldseyri is closely located to Eyjafjallajökull. One year after the eruption in Eyjafjalljökull the year 2010 the family at Þorvaldseyri opened a visitor centre about the massive eruption and the influence on the family. The visitor centre closed down in Dec 2017.
