Þverfell

Esja, (914 m) For many citizens of Reykjavík this mountain is virtually a part of the city, and indeed it often protects it from the full fury of the north–east winds in winter.

Good viewing points are Kerhólakambur (850 m), Kistufell (830 m) and Þverfell (guest book).

There are many routes up the mountain, the most popular being from Mógilsá and Esjuberg.
