Vaðlaheiði, (600–700 m) the mountain range on the east side of Eyjafjörður between the passes Víkurskarð to the north and Bíldsárskarð to the south. Mostly quite grassy. The view from Vaðlaheiði across the fjord towards Akureyri with its backdrop of majestic mountains is renowned.
