Vatnsskarð, (ca. 440 m) a mountain pass between the districts of Húnaflói and Skagafjörður. Good views in the western part from Saxhöfði, on the south side of the road and Víðivörðuháls, on the north side. From Botnastaðabrún farthest west in the pass there is also a fine view over the Svartárdalur valley below.
