Ytri-Bægisá

Ytri–Bægisá, a farm, church and parsonage until 1941. Among the clergymen who served there were Jón Þorláksson (1744–1819) and Arnljótur Ólafsson (1823–1904). Jón was an outstanding poet and the translator of many works, among them Paradise Lost by Milton and Messias by Klopstock.
