Möðruvellir, a manor farm now and in the past. The home of Guðmundur ríki (“the rich”) Eyjólfsson in Saga times. Early in the 15th century the home of Loftur ríki Guttormsson and later of his descendants. In the church there is a fine old altar–piece. In the churchyard there is the only remaining bell–gate of its kind, dating from around 1780. In the keeping of the National Museum since 1962.
