Grænavatn

Grænavatn, (“Green lake”) a farm by lake of the same name, out of which flows Grænilækur into Mývatn. The same family in the direct male line has lived at there since 1818. Large turf farmhouse from about 1913, of a late type. In the keeping of the National Museum since 2000. Jeep–track south to Suðurárbotnar and Dyngjufjöll.
