From Möðrudalur there is a very good view of the surrounding mountains, especially the majestic Herðubreið, 1682 m in heigth, is one of the most beautiful mountains in Iceland and from there one can also see Dyrafjöll mountains, part of Vatnajökull glacier and Kverkfjöll on its northern fringe.
