Hraunsnefsöxl, a mountain ridge, half of which is said to have split off and fallen down into the valley shortly before the original settlement, leaving a 100 m high cliff face on the mountain and another 100 m of gravel and rock scree below it.
At Hraunsnef is a guesthouse and a restaurant. There you can get a map with information about where the local fairies, hidden people, gnomes, dwarves and trolls live.
