Básar in Seljavík bay, between Brunnanúpur and Bjargartangi. There are visible ruins of the walls of the house, the remains of a fence and what was probably a well shelter. It is said that the place used to be a farm, abandoned in the 15th century. If this is true, it was the westernmost place of human habitation in Iceland and consequently the whole of Europe. Keflav
