Dragafell

Geldingadragi, (“Gelding trail”) now usually called Dragi, a pass (243m) between the valleys Svínadalur and Skorradalur on the main highway, with the mountain Dragafell(478 m) to the east. The name is derived from the Harðar Saga og Hólmverja Saga, in which Hörður and his men stole some geldings which had trouble getting across the pass in deep snow. Geldingadragi forms the eastern boundary of Skarðsheiði.
