Helkunduheiði

Brekknaheiði, the northern part of moors between Langanesströnd and Þistil­­fjörður, formerly call­ed Helkunduheiði. Low hills alternate with marshes, small lakes and tarns, mostly below 200 m. There were formerly the boundaries between the 4 parts of Iceland, also be­tween the bishoprics and still between Þing­eyjar­­sýsla and Múla­sýsla counties. The road reaches a height of 160 m.
