Brekknaheiði, the northern part of moors between Langanesströnd and Þistilfjörður, formerly called Helkunduheiði. Low hills alternate with marshes, small lakes and tarns, mostly below 200 m. There were formerly the boundaries between the 4 parts of Iceland, also between the bishoprics and still between Þingeyjarsýsla and Múlasýsla counties. The road reaches a height of 160 m.
