Víðidalur, a wide, green valley, with low hills on the western side and Víðidalsfjall (993 m) on the eastern side. The 65 km long Víðidalsá flows through the valley, a good salmon river, coming from north–western Stórisandur. Kerafossar in the river Fitjaá is a good place for fishing.
