Moldhaugnaháls, (“Heaps–of–earth ridge”) a low mountain ridge between Hörgárdalur and Kræklingahlíð. Coming from the west, the view opens towards Akureyri. A war memorial was erected there by British soldiers in 1942 to commemorate their stay in Iceland.
