Staðarsveit, a flat, grassy and marshy lowland district from the Hofstaðaháls ridge west to the mountain Axlarhyrna. A string of farms between the mountains and the shore. Many lakes above the Ölduhryggur ridge, Langavatn being the nearest one to Staðastaður. Nesting islets and trout–fishing in many of the lakes.
