Súgandafjörður, a fjord opening out between the mountains Sauðanes and Göltur, ca. 12 km long. Broadish at the mouth, but narrowing near the mountain Spillir to about 1km. Shallow, steep cliffs, birch–bushes, geothermal heat in places. Danger of avalanches.
