Svartá, a 5 km long clear river running into Jökulsá á Fjöllum. In it is the waterfall Skínandi. It has a consistent flow of 20 m3/sec. At the confluence it is, in winter, twice the size of the glacial river, though the latter is much the larger in the summer.
