Ytritunga, a farm from which there is a road down to the sea, this being the best way to approach the prehistoric Tjörnes shell–layers in the cliffs both sides of the river Hallbjarnarstaðaá. There was a lignite mine on the farm land, and on the shore there is a boulder brought by ice from Greenland. Small pier, some fishing.
