Grenjaðarstaður

Grenjaðarstaður, an ancient manor farm, church and parsonage, considered one of best livings in Iceland. One of the large farm houses of the northern type, mostly built in the later half of the 19th century. Housed a post office in the later half of the 19th century, till around 1900. In the keeping of the National Museum since 1954. A folk museum since 1958.
